Military expert Boris Rozhin told Lente.ru that the main advantage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is that they are cheap. They are cheaper than airplanes and rockets and can be developed independently.

The expert underlines that since the number of air defense systems in each army is limited, unmanned aerial vehicles can create many problems on large battlefields. He recalled that the use of both private and commercial UAVs increased five to seven years ago in conflicts in the Middle East.
