EBS manages Rostelecom, the system was created with the participation of the Bank of Russia. It stores, among other things, data about a person’s voice and facial features.
In July, it became known that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation would force banks to add biometric identification to their mobile applications. Otherwise, they will be prohibited from granting loans and opening deposits to new clients.
