Emotional burnout is a syndrome that occurs as a result of chronic stress at work. Since January 1, 2022, this syndrome is included in the International Classification of Diseases, so in Europe they began to issue sick leave to people suffering from it.

“At one point I was working with burnout. I always felt tired, mundane work took a lot of time. Despite doing everything necessary, I constantly felt that I was not investing enough. “I always had high expectations for what, how and in what time frame I was going to do, and now I have high expectations,” said Lizaveta. His condition was noticed by the leaders.

To get sick leave, the girl first turned to a therapist, who sent her to a psychiatrist. As a result, Lizaveta was given three weeks of sick leave. After resting, you will need to consult your doctor again. If symptoms persist, the period may be extended by one month. The maximum period can be six months. During sick leave, Lizaveta receives 80% of her salary and keeps her job, vacation and bonuses.
