Foreign journalists received brand new Apple Watch Ultra.
They noted that the watch was not compared with Garmin, Polar and others. However, they have something to attract the attention of buyers.

The Apple Watch Ultra screen is not much larger than the Series 8 45mm. This is one of those things that is difficult to convey in pictures alone. In photos, the Apple Watch Ultra overshadows my wrist. live they exist lessthan some of the tested round watches with a diameter of 45 to 47 mm.
The large screen is great for reading. This means that I can increase the font size, it was easy to read. It also greatly increases the sending of text messages using the wrist. If these features are important to you, or if you like the look of an oversized watch, then the Ultra is perfect for you.
My problem with smartwatches has always been comfort. Many of them are simply too heavy, so when I received the Ultra after Apple’s presentation, I was pleasantly surprised at how lungs.
Like the Series 8 chip, the Ultra S8 features a temperature sensor, a new accelerometer, and an improved gyroscope for collision detection. The Ultra takes it one step further by adding a water temperature sensor for swimmers and divers and extending the idea of permanent display to the year 2000.
It doesn’t replace a diving watch for serious divers, but it does have WR100 ultra-high emission and EN13319 certification so you can snorkel (up to 40 meters recommended by Apple) and participate in high-speed water sports. 76% larger battery than Series 8 45mm, and is rated for 36 hours of normal use on a single charge. If you are not participating in a triathlon, you will probably approach the 48 hours of the nervous system. And that’s without power saving mode enabled.

Last weekend I charged the watch to 100%. I then walked for two hours and 15 minutes, used the compass and GPS frequently, and tracked my sleep at night. The next morning I woke up with 50%. On another day, I did a 30-minute GPS run and another 20-minute rowing session. I also made a short call to the clock and finished the day with 84%.
Nilay, the editor-in-chief, managed to work 56 hours without recharging, and he stands out another 14%. It’s basically the main home, so it doesn’t use cellular data or GPS.
The knuckle is larger, with more grooves to make it easier to turn while exercising, and a raised guard to prevent accidental taps. The watch has an additional physical control in the form of a customizable Action button. Unlike any other Apple Watch, the Ultra’s screen is completely flat, making it more likely to get scratched if you hit it on something.
The Action Button is the large trigger button on the opposite side of the Digital Crown. Physical buttons are more reliable, they are immune to sweaty feel and gloves. Apple should put it on all Apple Watches, not just the Ultra.
The options available are: Workout, Stopwatch, Waypoint, Wayback, Loading, Flashlight, and Commands.
Depending on which one you choose, you’ll either select an app or see a list of gestures. For example, if you select Workout, you can decide whether one app will use the Workout app or activate the reverse launch feature. The latter reduces the workout of your choice without regard to the 3-2-1 countdown.
Holding down the Action button for five seconds also turns on the siren. But what I really like is that it provides a more efficient way to pause a workout through physical control.

The Apple Watch Ultra comes with one exclusive watch face called the Wayfinder. It has room for eight widgets, so you can fine-tune the look of this watch face to suit any activity you choose.
Apple Watch Ultra includes the same settings as any other watchOS 9 device and automatically detects activity like walking, running, and cycling. Later this year, track detection will also be coming to Ultra. When they find you are on the 400m track, they allows you to select the lanewhich you are running for more accurate pace and distance results.
For cardio training away from the heart rate sensor, the Apple Watch Ultra outperforms a chest strap. The results vary depending on how the watch sits on the wrist and what movements are made with the hands.
I liked the use compass on a hike to get back to your car. And it was easy for me to follow the path shown on the display. Perhaps you could also overlay this path on a map in, say, Apple Maps.
The Apple Watch Ultra uses two GPS bands, L1 and L5. We’ve been using the L1 band for years, but it has limitations, especially when you’re surrounded by growth or even trees that can block the signal. I tested the Ultra in the heart of downtown San Francisco and compared it to the Series 7.
They tracked my path ultra-accurately when I walked under the overpass, while the Series 7 recalculated my total distance by about 100m at the end of the workout.
I love the extra microphones on the Apple Watch Ultra. It allows you to isolate your voice and reduce wind noise thanks to new algorithms. The interlocutor noticed how little wind he hears.
Now it is difficult to judge the usefulness of a temperature sensor. Apple says that all health data collected with ciphers can be encrypted in your account and in iCloud, so if two-factor authentication is enabled, no one can access it.
I would like the Apple Watch to better track changes in the body. Garmin has a body sensor that gives you a good idea of how your body is improving with energy, while Polar has a cardio and muscle sensor.
All in all, the Apple Watch Ultra is a great watch. But they still have a long way to go to become truly desirable for professionals.
