For 15 years in Brazil, YouTube has already been watched by 75 million Brazilians on television. The information was announced by the company during Brandcast 2022, an event focused on the market.

Data was collected through the WhyVideo survey conducted by Ipsos. From June 2019 to the same month of 2020, there was an 115% increase in YouTube video viewing on smart TVs, making the Google platform the number 1 in consumer perception.

The respondents also stated that when they think about the world one year from now, the site is the first site they go to when they want something, and they say it with a rate of 80%. YouTube is still seen by 79% as the best reflection of current culture.

Power through games and ads

The survey also revealed that 82% of Brazilian consumers are more likely to consider a brand or product after advertising on YouTube videos. In addition, 85% of the people interviewed by the Talk Shoppe survey approve of the faster decision to buy or not. A similar percentage, 85%, claim to discover new brands and products through the platform.

In addition, more than 25 million users consume YouTube gaming content every day in Brazil alone. The platform has more than 3 million channels on the subject in the country.
