This happened in March, against the background of the launch of a special operation in Ukraine, where the Hollywood company suspended work in Russia. First, the owner of the Russian cinema tried to settle the dispute about the lost profits out of court, but the defendant voluntarily refused to comply with the demands.

Cinema-Media LLC then sued, calculating the amount of claim at 5.84 million rubles, based on the planned income from the showing of Batman, and paying 50% to the copyright holder stipulated by the contract. As a result, the amount indicated in the case amounted to 2.9 million rubles.

The Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the claim and now the defendant is obliged to pay this money to the plaintiff.
