The world’s leading messaging app, WhatsApp, is facing challenges to deliver messages this Thursday (28). When sending text, photo or audio, the user only sees the “clock” instead of the signs confirming sending and receiving.
Downdetector noticed the imbalance starting around 4:59 PM (Brazil time). The main problems reported by users were: sending messages (68%); receiving messages (25%) and website (8%). Some users noted that WhatsApp Web is still sending messages, making the issue more apparent in the app.
Instability was mostly noticed by users from cities such as São Paulo, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília, as shown in the map below:
