Vulnerability CVE-2022-3723 has received a high severity level. It is a bug in the Chrome V8 Javascript engine discovered by Avast analysts. The company did not provide details about the vulnerability due to security concerns. This gives Chrome users enough time to update the browser to version 107.0.5304.87/88, which fixes the issue.

Typically, these vulnerabilities allow attackers to access areas of memory that should not be accessed. So it can read sensitive information of other applications, cause crashes or run arbitrary code.

You can update Google Chrome from Settings – About Chrome. Don’t forget to restart the program.
