Tinkoff recommended employees who are leaving and have already left Russia to settle in Armenia, Kazakhstan or Belarus. The bank has offices in these countries; remote employees are likely to be “cut off” from accessing data from countries where there are no offices.
Frank Media writes about Tinkoff Bank’s recommendation to its employees, if they wish to leave Russia, to choose Armenia, Belarus or Kazakhstan as the country of relocation, citing sources close to the bank.
“It was said orally that from December access to sensitive data will be cut off from everywhere, and it will only be from offices,” the source told the publication.
There are Tiinkoff development centers in the cities of Russia, Minsk, Yerevan and Almaty, but, according to the publication’s source, it was recommended to move to the three countries mentioned above. Another interlocutor told the publication that they were recommended to go to those countries where Tinkoff has development centers.
Tinkoff Bank itself did not comment on the publication of recommendations on relocation and the possibility of restricting access to data for remote employees.
