Outlets of 152 foreign brands are still operating today in large Russian shopping centers, according to a report by the consulting firm NF Group, whose data Vedomosti cites.
Most of the remaining foreign retailers in Russia are from the United States: 22.4%. The second and third places are occupied by Italy (15.1%) and France (10.5%). They are followed by Turkey and Germany (both with 9.9%).
The companies that have decided to continue working in Russia are mostly represented in the fashion segment (59.9%). Among them are the Americans USPolo, Michael Kors and Timberland, the Italians Trussardi and United Colors of Benetton, the Germans Marc O’Polo and the French Abricot.
Approximately 10% of the rest of the companies are from the catering sector, 5.3% are sellers of household appliances and electronics.
At the beginning of 2022, more than 360 foreign retailers were present in Russia. After the start of a special military operation, 180 of them decided to suspend their work in Russia.
