Dom.rf Bank reported on the completion of the transfer of all stages of mortgage registration to the digital space. This means that it is technically ready to issue the first digital home loan by the end of 2022.

Dom.rf Bank plans to issue the first digital mortgage by the end of the year

The system will identify the first digital borrower in the primary housing market through a special application that uses a biometric profile, Oleg Komlik, head of the bank’s digital division, told TASS.

“We hope that by the end of this year we will have time to close an agreement of this type. Technically, we are done, we just have to find a person who wants to go this way. This should be an interesting case: for example, a person from Tyumen will choose an apartment in Moscow,” Komlik expects.

The application for identification by biometric profile is scheduled to be launched in the near future.

The digital mortgage will be available to those clients who have a biometric print in Rostelecom: they will be able to remotely identify themselves and sign documents to open an account.

Therefore, the deal will be “absolutely digital”, emphasizes Komlik.

Digitizing mortgages will allow the bank to reduce operating costs and possibly even lower the mortgage rate.
