Apple is looking for professionals who create a 3D world and video service for mixed reality headsets, reports Bloomberg.
The staff is looking for staff with experience in visual effects to augment content for augmented and persistent reality.
Apple has also created a headset video service with 3D content that can be incorporated into natural reality.
Some jobs mention the development of a 3D mixed reality world. Apple is supposed to be manifesting a metaverse-like virtual environment, though the company is unlikely to use the term. Apple’s chief marketing officer recently stated that metaverse is “a word I will never use.”
The developers also have to create tools and a platform for interaction in the 3D world of mixed reality.
Apple is expected to introduce a mixed reality headset next year. It will cost $2000-3000. [Bloomberg]
