Havi Logistics, which has cooperated in Russia with McDonald’s and IKEA, is looking for buyers for its business in the country, a source familiar with the situation told RBC.
According to the publication, the assets can also be transferred to the local administration. Havi Logistics has been associated with McDonald’s since its founding in 1976. In Russia, the company was engaged in, in particular, logistics, food supply for restaurant chains, as well as business intelligence and marketing.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Rulog LLC was formed in 2003 and has represented Havi Logistics ever since. In addition to IKEA and McDonald’s, the company has also worked with British Petroleum (BP), Equinor (formerly Statoil) and OMV.
According to the CEO of Rusprodsoyuz, Dmitry Vostrikov, Vkusno, and that is the network that replaced McDonald’s, should show the greatest interest in the Havi Logistics business. The network itself reported that they continue to cooperate with Rulog.
In March, in connection with the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, McDonald’s closed all its outlets in Russia and in May announced a full withdrawal from the country. Soon after, businessman Alexander Govor bought the company’s Russian business.
Last week it became known that “Tasty, and that’s it” will open in Belarus.
