This Thursday (17), Google released game developer studios selected to receive funding Google Play Independent Gaming Fund, in Latin America. In addition to special trainings for companies to develop their business, the fund will award each of the winners US$200,000 (approximately R$1 million at current exchange rates).🇧🇷

According to the company, the Google Play Indie Games Fund was developed to assist thriving studios in Latin America, providing technical support and financial assistance to those selected so they can “walk on their own feet.”

Google Play will also offer various study programs for developers participating in the program. A total of ten studios in Latin America were selected, and luckily, five from Brazil.

Five studios from Brazil are being considered:

  • Aoca Game Lab, ARIDA: Backland’s Awakening;
  • Asantee, Magic Rampage;
  • Deep and Creative, Quadrilateral: Unknown Planes;
  • Glitch Factory, No Courage;
  • Orube Game Studio, Super Mombo Quest.

In other Latin American countries:

  • AVIX, Hidden Lands (Argentina);
  • AgoleaGames, Beat Arena (Argentina);
  • Selva Interactive, Illuminaria (Guatemala);
  • Somber Pixel, Night Reverie (Peru);
  • Boomware Studio, Cafe Panic (Peru).

As announced by the company, 29 Latin American studios have so far been selected to join the accelerator Indie Games Accelerator. The program offers content for training and guidance for developers in the region.
