According to the expert, using this mode can speed up the recharging of the device, as well as save battery life. Also, by turning Airplane Mode on or off, users can restore cellular coverage by asking the device to search for the nearest tower.

Gulevich added that it can be used to protect against fraudulent sites by stopping the loading of web content. However, it is worth keeping in mind that before turning off the mode, you must turn off Wi-Fi so that the device does not search for nearby networks.

Another plus of the airplane mode, the expert called, is the blocking of GPS signals when activated. And that means no one can track your device’s location.
