Cloud provider #CloudMTS has launched the GSLB (Global Server Load Balancing) network balancing service, the MTS press service reported.
With the help of the solution, a company whose resources are located on several sites at the same time will be able to regulate the load on client applications. Internet traffic from different regions will be distributed automatically. This will ensure uninterrupted access to Internet resources if, for example, one of the servers is overloaded.
The company clarified that the new product will be useful for retail chains, online stores, delivery services, carsharing and taxis, as well as credit institutions.
“If one of the company’s data centers is unavailable or there are too many requests, GSLB will redirect the user to another server. This approach leads to the fact that the company’s services are always available, even at the time of maximum loads, for example, during seasonal sales”, explains Mikhail Solovyov, product director of #CloudMTS.
The service was developed on the basis of open source software. When creating the product, a microservices architecture was used, the core was written in the Golang language. The service supports balancing algorithms such as Weighted Round Robin and Failover Pool.
You can connect GSLB on the provider’s website.
