From the very launch of iPhone 14, a new alarm function, multiple user use, and even life saving.

However, there were situations when the option worked by accident. Apple has suppressed the issue with the release of iOS 16.2. But that doesn’t seem to help much.

The Colorado Sun news agency reports that throughout the state of Colorado (USA), the number of false 911 calls from skiers who have triggered the function when falling off their skis has increased, and the iPhone is taking into account this accident.

Over the weekend, emergency dispatchers at the Summit 911 Center received 71 traffic speeds from iPhones and Apple Watches across the county’s four control areas. None of them are related to the need for reduction.

The 911 dispatchers are oblivious to the call, meaning that even occasional calls made by dedicated iPhone 14s need to be considered and resources allocated to them. Trina Dummer, interim director of the Summit County 911 Center, said this.

The company has already been informed about the situation. Looking forward to another fix soon.
