The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) found MegaFon to have violated antitrust laws.
According to the agency, in May 2022, the operator unreasonably increased tariffs for communication services for more than 16.5 million subscribers by an average of 12%.
The FAS Russia has determined that the level of tariff changes has not been in line with the norm since the beginning of 2022. The Service conducted an analysis of the economic feasibility of tariffs for communication services. According to the agency, the increase in tariffs due to the lack of technological, economic and other justification is of interest to consumers.

The agency ordered the operator to reduce tariffs to an economically justified level. MegaFon will also be fined. Its size is observed during the administrative investigation.
