The Russian car market will be replenished with another Chinese brand. Jetour, which is a subsidiary of Chery, has registered its own legal entity. According to market experts, Jetour will sell crossovers in Russia for 2.2 and 4 million rubles.

A subsidiary of Chinese automaker Chery has registered its own legal entity in Russia, Autonews noted. Jetour will operate in Russia under the control of Jetour Motor Rus LLC.

Chery denied any involvement in the launch of the Jetour brand, but the brand’s cars were seen during certification tests in Russia, the newspaper notes. Jetour cars are planned to be assembled in Kazakhstan and imported into Russia with the benefits of membership in the Customs Union.

According to Chinese Automobile sources, Jetour will sell Dashing crossovers in Russia for 2.2 million rubles and X90 for 4 million rubles. Sales will start no earlier than spring 2023, the post clarifies.
