The Federal Antimonopoly Service has announced permission for new studies of MegaFon’s tariffs.

Two days ago, the operator announced that it would increase communication prices from January 2023. It is alleged that MegaFon did not inform the FAS about this in the prescribed manner – this is the reason for launching the investigation. If the regulator recognizes the changes as unreasonable, it may initiate an antitrust case.

We have not received the expected request from the department. We inform the FAS in the established guidelines.

The service also measures changes in Tele2 tariffs, which will increase from December 30, 2022.

Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service recognized MegaFon as a violator of the antimonopoly law and prescribed a 12% reduction in tariffs.
