The Ministry of Finance raised the minimum retail price of sparkling wine to 239 rubles

Previously, the agency proposed expanding the minimum retail price mechanism for all alcoholic beverages. The new prices will be valid until the end of 2028.

Since January 2022, 9.4 million decaliters of sparkling wine have been produced in Russia. The demand for domestic beverages increased due to higher prices and lower supply volumes of foreign products.

In Russia, from July 2023, an excise duty on non-alcoholic drinks containing sugar in the amount of 7 rubles per liter will be introduced. This will mean a reduction in the production of non-alcoholic beer and an increase in its price by an average of 11%.
