Apple has told investors that it will go into detail about why it distributes apps from the App Store in the future. This is reported by the Financial Times.

Over the past few years, Apple has removed tens of thousands of apps from the App Store without explanation. Mostly from stores in China and Russia.

Apple has pledged to report how many apps each country has requested to be removed from the App Store, whether those requests are based on violations of laws, and whether Apple has agreed with them. Apple also reports how many apps have been removed from the App Store in each country for violating store policies.

This information will be covered in the next environmental report. [Financial Times]
