According to the Cinema Fund, the total box office of the Russian film Cheburashka exceeded 3.52 billion rubles. The tape was released less than two weeks ago, on January 1, 2023.

Thus, “Cheburashka” became the absolute leader in the distribution of Russian films for as long as the statistics were kept. In this status, the domestic cartoon replaced the tape of Hollywood film director James Cameron “Avatar”, which was released in Russian distribution on December 17, 2009. The total collection of “Avatar” in Russia is 3.51 billion rubles.

Earlier, “Cheburashka” became the highest-grossing domestic film in the history of Russian distribution. By January 10, that is, for ten rental days, the film’s fees amounted to 3.08 billion rubles, according to UAIS data.
