According to the Chinese company, creators with at least 100,000 followers will be able to participate in the early phase of Pulse. Joyful approved influencers will receive 50% of revenue from ads shown on their videos — similar to YouTube, which allocates 55% of its ad revenue to creators.

“Creators and publishers are at the center of the fun on TikTok. With TikTok Pulse, we will start exploring our first ad revenue sharing program with creators, public figures and media publishers.”

Until then, the social network only generated income through the Creators Fund, but only a few popular users were selected to participate in the program. The company did not reveal when TikTok Pulse will launch.

As explained by TikTok, the company focuses on developing monetization solutions so creators feel more valued on the platform. “From the beginning, we have been committed to working with our community to bring new features that enrich the TikTok experience,” the company said.
