During the walk, the dog lagged behind its owner and went into the pool to avoid flooding. It was then swept away by the “fast-moving water”, disappeared and fell into a nearby pipe.

“It got behind me and it went down this drain. The water was flowing so fast…” the owner told ABC7.

Eyewitnesses helped him search for rescuers, who rushed to look for Sheamus (the name of the dog). Fortunately, he had not only the usual identification tag on his collar, but also an AirTag. Thanks to this and Seamus’ barking, the rescuers found him. After being rescued, Seamus was found “uninjured and in good spirits”.
