The company points out that the entire methodology and interface of the mathematics application was created with the help of a team of industry-specialized engineers, learning scientists and designers. Duolingo will also leverage the brand’s entire ecosystem to make learning more fun, with mascots appearing during daily teaching.
In the first phase of Duolingo Math, the app focuses on two math “courses”. One is for younger primary school students and the other is for educated adults who want to “remove the rust” in the area. The developers are considering offering more courses eventually, but the focus is on these two when launching the app.
The full and free version of Duolingo Math will be in English initially, by the end of the year. There was no talk about its availability on Android.
