Apple has released iOS 16.3 to all iPhone users.
Build number – 20D47.
In this update, the company added several features, fixed bugs, and reduced performance.
New wallpapers
iOS 16.3 replaces the new Unity wallpaper that Apple created to celebrate Black History Month.
Physical keys for Apple ID
Apps now include physical security keys for Apple IDs as part of the two-factor authentication process on new devices.
iCloud Backup Encryption
iOS 16.3 has enhanced iCloud data protection. End-to-end encryption now protects backups, notes, memories and photos.
Minor changes
▪️ iOS 16.3 adds support for 2nd generation HomePod.
▪️ For emergency SOS calls, it is now necessary to hold the connection along with the increase or join button.
Corrected mistakes
▪️ Fixed a bug in Freeform that caused most of the boards to have some strokes, drawn observations, or with the Apple Pencil selected.
▪️ Fixed a bug that the lock screen wallpaper could change color.
▪️ Fixed an issue where horizontal lines were temporarily turned on when iPhone 14 Pro Max was taken out of screen mode.
▪️ Fixed an issue where the status of the Home app could be changed in the Home widget on the lock screen.
▪️ Fixes an issue where Siri responses to music queries could be different.
▪️ Fixes an issue where requests to Siri via CarPlay could be interpreted incorrectly.
You can download iOS 16.3 now in the menu Settings -> General -> Software Update. The firmware size is about 650 MB.
