Raiffeisenbank will stop accepting foreign currency in cash at its ATMs as of February 1, the credit institution reported on its Telegram channel.

As a reason, the bank indicated the technical difficulties of such operations with a general decrease in their number.

“Without this feature, the availability of ATMs for transactions in more popular rubles will increase,” the credit institution said in a post.

Now, in order to deposit foreign currency into your account, you will need to contact a bank branch.

At the end of last year, Raiffeisenbank changed the conditions for currency transfers to Russian and foreign banks. The credit institution itself is on the list of banks that are prohibited from conducting transactions with shares and shares of companies from “unsympathetic” countries without special permission.
