An iFixit channel has revealed a teardown of a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 Pro processor.
This time around, experts dismantled laptops, tracking the nature of Apple for self-repair, and concluded that the company’s manual is “quite detailed and simple.”
Inside, the new MacBook Pro is no different from the 2021 model. The only difference is the number of NAND memory modules in the base model.
The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and 512 GB has two 256 GB NAND chips, while the same model used four 128 GB NAND modules every time in 2021.
This change caused the new MacBook Pro’s SSD speed to be slower than the old one. Models with a large amount of memory do not have such problems.
In terms of overall maintainability, iFixit rated it 5 out of 10. [9to5Mac]
