The owner of MTS and Ozon AFK Sistema created Guru Electronics. It will distribute consumer electronics and small household appliances.
The organization has already drawn up plans for the import of Apple, Dyson and Samsung equipment into the EAEU. The company will declare the import of eight batch devices: iPhone, iPad and AirPods with cables and power supplies, Apple and Samsung smart watches, Dyson hair dryers and stylers – 1.55 million units each.
Dmitry Magyanov, former commercial director of MTS retail, is listed as the CEO of Guru Electronics in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
Kommersant’s source in Sistema said that regulation was organized so that competitors of AFK’s core structures, such as MTS, could regulate with it without hindrance. However, another source claims that it is about strengthening the direction of imports for domestic needs.
They are needed by MTS for its own retailers in demand and periodic shortages of goods. This is especially true for accessories.
