2nd generation HomePod owners have noticed that the speaker reflects marks on furniture. This mostly happens on wildfires due to the fact that there is a silicone pad on the bottom of the HomePod to pair the vibrations.

To avoid marks, it is recommended to put some kind of stand or cloth under the HomePod.

Exactly the same problem was with the first HomePod, and users were hoping that Apple would fix it.
