Sberbank now has the opportunity to buy and sell cash dirhams, the currency of the United Arab Emirates, the lender said in a statement. While the service is being tested, the bank wants to assess the demand for the service.
Currently, cash dirhams can be purchased at various Sberbank offices in Moscow:
- street. Sretenka, 14;
- street. Zemlyanoy Val, 41, building 1;
- street. Bolshaya Yakimanka, 18;
- street. Vavilov, 19;
- street. Bryanskaya, house 8.
The report notes that if the demand for this coin is high, the number of branches where it can be purchased will increase.
In January 2023, the United Arab Emirates dirham was included in the list of foreign currencies for which the Central Bank of the Russian Federation sets official rates against the ruble. A full list of such coins can be viewed at the link.
