The study included 425 OnlyFans users. The mean age of the participants was 37. There were approximately equal numbers of men and women among them.

Most participants reported that using OnlyFans led them to learn new things about sexual practices, personal sexual preferences, relationships, or sexual health. Only 6.8% admitted that they haven’t tried new sex apps since using OnlyFans.

The authors of the study noted that against the backdrop of a lack of sex education, such online platforms can help people get to know themselves.
