Google’s new speech service will get a rather strange name – Bard. It is based on the LaMDA language model for speech applications. Bard’s main goal is to “provide a combination of knowledge about the world with the power and intelligence of Google’s broad language models.”
Initially, it is reported that the service will only be available to a narrow circle of trusted testers. But in the coming weeks, the project is planned to be made more accessible to the general public.
