Experts have found that molecularly linked immune cells are much more effective at detecting and destroying cancer cells of any type.

The study, published in the journal Nature Biotechnology, is a modification of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) immunotherapy that uses CAR to recognize malignant cells.

Recall that CAR is a type of protein that assembles antibody fragments and domains that activate the immune system to bind selectively to certain antigens.

Previously, scientists have added CAR to the surface of immune cells, which has had some success in curing cancer. For example, such as leukemia.

Recent scientific studies have taken this approach one step further. First of all, it found a way to fix the CAR molecule inside immune cells, allowing them to activate and start killing cancer more effectively.
