The ANO “Institute for Internet Development” (IRI) decided to invest additional funds in the development of the game “Trouble” from the Novosibirsk Cyberia Nova studio. The developers previously received a grant of 260 million rubles. The new contract will be signed on March 1.
The investment amount is not called, but the amount is comparable to the previous grant. In total, for two years of development, the company can receive approximately 500 million rubles, Vedomosti writes.
An IRI representative said the studio reported on the use of past investments it received in 2022 and showed a demo version of the game. The Internet Development Institute expects the game to be released by the end of 2023.
- In the summer of 2022, the site of the Novosibirsk game developer Cyberia Limited about Time of Troubles was not available, the VKontakte group was closed. Then messages began to appear on the network that the developers were fleeing with public money.
- It later became known that the information resources of the Cyberia Limited studio were temporarily disabled due to the rebranding. The company became known as Cyberia Nova.
