Spotify has proceeded to liquidate a legal entity in Russia. The Swedish music service has not operated in the country since April 2022. Before the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Spotify almost completely “landed” in Russia within the framework of the relevant law, opening an official representative office.

The Russian legal entity of Swedish music streaming service Spotify has started the liquidation process, according to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Spotify LLC has been registered in Russia since January 2014.

Spotify stopped working in Russia in April 2022. Russian users can use the service if they reactivate it in another country.

Spotify has almost completely complied with the law on the “landing” of IT giants in Russia. On February 4, 2022, the service opened an official representative office in Russia.
