VTB is considering the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki to launch online banking on them. The organization already provides this type of service on Telegram. The bank is looking for new sites as its apps have been removed from the App Store and Google Play.
Social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki can become platforms for launching VTB online banking. Anatoly Pechatnikov, deputy chairman of the VTB board of directors, spoke about this.
According to Pechatnikov, VTB may launch online banking in VK and Odnoklassniki from 2023. The organization already provides customers with online banking services on Telegram messenger – VTB launched this option in January 2023.
Banks are looking for new platforms to launch online services as the App Store and Google Play have removed their apps. In particular, VTB, Sberbank and other banks that suffered from sanctions faced this.
