Already in April, special tents with products of domestic production will be installed at the entrances of Russian shopping centers, Bulat Shakirov, president of the Union of Shopping Centers, told Izvestia.
Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce sent letters of recommendation to the regional authorities. They called for the establishment of kiosks in the corridors near shopping centers, where Russian producers and farmers would sell their products.
According to Shakirov, buildings in the same style and with an area of no more than 20 square meters will appear near large Russian shopping centers in April-May. M. Food, textiles and clothing with footwear will be delivered there.
“We are writing to the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a request to discuss a unified design of such tents: this is necessary so that shopping centers can supply electricity to new premises, as well as comply with all fire safety standards,” Shakirov said.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce noted that the department is ready to discuss the implementation of this initiative with regional authorities and companies.
In late January, mall owners approached the department with a request to subsidize the opening of such outlets within malls. This option was proposed as an alternative to placing tents near the entrances.
