A criminal case has been initiated on three counts of fraud committed by a group of persons (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The group of coaches will remain in custody until August 29.

According to the prosecution, in 2021 Zakheim created and led an organized criminal group to steal funds from citizens under the pretext of conducting business courses on investing in foreign real estate. She involved her husband, son and Struleva in her activities.

The co-conspirators developed an investment course using publicly available information, recorded video lessons and sold them to citizens, creating a “false impression of the possibility of investing in foreign real estate.” The cost of the course reached one million rubles, but the buyers of the courses were not really qualified to invest, the prosecution calculated. The damage was caused to three victims, who parted with 2.5 million rubles, according to the investigation.

The prosecution also insists on the arrest of the business consultant’s son, Troy Krasnov.

In June, five more criminal cases were opened against businessman Ayaz Shabutdinov, who faces up to 10 years in prison.

According to investigators, Shabutdinov and his accomplices, on behalf of controlled companies, including Like Center, sold courses, trainings and webinars, giving clients “false hopes of creating a successful business and receiving excessive income.” Shabutdinov did not plead guilty.
