The Russian analogue of the Downdetector service, which monitors site failures, will be launched in the spring of 2023. This was announced to TASS by the head of the Center for Monitoring and Control of the Public Communications Network (CMU SSOP) subordinate to Roskomnadzor Sergey Khutortsev.
Work on the technical part, verification of information security, performance tests are in the final part.
The new domestic service will function as Downdetector: users, when faced with a problem, will be able to report it on the portal. The employees of the center will check, verify and find out what the problem is connected with.
In the future, the functionality of the service will be expanded in terms of monitoring the operation of communication networks and critical Internet services, as well as the quality of communication services.
