The owner of PickPoint ATMs faced financial difficulties due to a foreign shareholder. Against this background, the service stopped accepting requests to send parcels from most cities of Russia.

PickPoint stopped accepting requests to send parcels from most cities in Russia

Company representatives are trying to negotiate with counterparties over debt repayment, but since January the number of claims against PickPoint has increased significantly, Kommersant found.

Customers of the service complain about extended delivery times, broken or disabled postmats in some cities. Avito reported that the delivery to the couriers of the service is temporarily unavailable. Ozon said orders can still be received at market points where this option is available.

According to PickPoint, the company has 6,000 parcel machines and 4,500 pickup points in 657 locations across the country. The company said that the network was restored in all regions, but the Kommersant correspondent was unable to submit an application through the service in Rostov-on-Don, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Kirov.

Experts say that the PickPoint situation arose not only because of internal problems. Now the collection points (PVZ) are gaining popularity, where there are changing rooms, which is important when ordering clothes and shoes.
