VKontakte released a separate messaging application for computers. A beta version is now available for Windows and MacOS.

VKontakte presented the desktop application of its messenger

The product is under test. The existing version brings support for personal and school profiles, faster video upload, and special notifications.

“Directly from a laptop or PC, you can exchange text and voice messages, write to friends from contacts, receive commercial notifications, for example, from banks and messaging services,” the company said.

The design of the desktop application does not differ much from the appearance of the messenger integrated in the web version of the site. The icon itself is made in blue tones with three dots inside. The interface of the beta version contains new features: for example, the ability to create folders with chats, like in the Telegram messenger.
