All my colleagues know that I am not friends with robotic vacuum cleaners. No matter how much he calculates, something always upsets him – and in the end he stands idle, and 30+ thousand rubles are wasted.

Until recently, it was impossible to buy a normal robot vacuum cleaner for a smaller amount. So when I was asked to try 360 Robot Vacuum Cleaner P7 (Botslab P7) I got ready for a woman.

Reality struck. Now I consider this indicator suspect as the first of a number of completely inexpensive ones and I am ready to defend this point of view in the review below.

Giant functionality for little money

Straight to the main. Robot vacuum cleaner 360 P7 costs 12,990 rubles. By the standards of robot vacuum cleaners, this is – pennies.

But it’s not just about the price. For 13 thousand rubles effectively:

▪ smart home integration Yandex

2 side brushes + roller
▪power up to 2700 Pa

▪ detection of suction on contact with the carpet
▪ companion app
▪ creation, storage of up to 2 cards

▪ creation of restricted areas
▪ Russian voice assistant in a vacuum cleaner
▪ infrared remote controller For driving
▪ high capacity container
▪ container cleaning (wet+dry)
▪ up to 90 minutes offline work

I look at this list, then I look at the popular “analogue” from another group of companies – and I don’t understand why they are asking me 30 thousand rubles. Just one side brush, less suction power, just zero benefit at more than double the price…

This alignment surprised me in earnest, so I began to understand and test with increased diligence. To begin with, I googled who 360 is.

Who is 360 and where did it come from?

Botslab gadgets are produced by a Chinese company whose antivirus 360 Total Security very popular at home and in large numbers in many other countries. 360 Smart Life Group is an IT giant from China specializing in the research and development of smart devices and IoT solutions.

I hear all this for the first time, but denying the explosive growth of Chinese manufacturers in the field of smart home, as well as the high quality of many such devices, would be stupid and pointless.

Maybe that’s why the P7 is so cheap – dumping as an investment in promoting the brand abroad? This is done as a justification for the low price. But still something is missing…

Why so cheap? Is there even one reason?

There is a real reason. For navigation in vacuum cleaner rooms not LiDAR, regular camera. The viewing angle is 166 degrees. Additionally use 11 sensors and a gyroscope.

lidar – it is fashionable, high-precision and expensive. It’s not here, so… it’s cheap. I have no doubts about the advantages of lasers over a camera. But 360 Robot Vacuum Cleaner P7 I personally showed that the absence of “lidar” in the robot vacuum cleaner does not lead to dire consequences. In the end, even Tesla replaced LiDAR with cameras in new cars. So there is a reason for that.

I ran the P7 at night, let it go under a sofa in the dark, and watched it perform complex behaviors like maneuvering over chair legs. Robot vacuum cleaner with LiDAR from an oil and gas company. Even the map is normally built the first time.

And if there is no difference, then why fly more? I couldn’t resist, sorry, it’s just that this phrase is very relevant here.

What made me very happy about the 360 P7 robot vacuum cleaner

Slim profile. Height 7.6 cm, diameter 32 cm. I can’t get through with a conventional vacuum cleaner, for example, under a sofa. Such an unexpected plus due to the lack of a LiDAR “tower”.

Vacuuming fine. First of all, this applies to two accounts, and not one, like other models of the budget class. Cameras normally detect walls. Somehow the P7 knows when it’s driving near the curtains: it always slows down and tries not to chew. Obviously, the gyroscope also helps here.

Both in the kitchen and in the nursery, the P7 perfectly collected all the crumbs, hair and dust. In two full cleaning cycles, the entire container clogged in a standard two-room apartment. Its capacity is 680 mlwhich exceeds the number of budget models, where mainly 400-500 ml.

Suction power supply in the application, from the remote control, or by voice commands through Alice. Acceptable average value. The minimum is also called “silent mode”, expected and expected if small children sleep at home or a robot game is required at night.

The charge lasts a long time. 90 minutes of battery life is a real figure. He assembles a kopeck piece plus a kitchen in 40 minutes on an area of about 65 squares, leaving 60% of the battery. So you can calculate about 120 square meters of cleaning at a time.

He returns to the station himself, he has never had any problems.

Suitable for carpets. When P7 comes to any carpet, it automatically turns on the suction power. I liked how clean the carpets in the bathroom and at the front door became after the robot – I did not find any difference at all between it and my ordinary vacuum cleaner. Both were not “chewed”, which is also a plus.

Able to do wet cleaning. The combination container for basic cleaning holds a glass of water. Fasten a napkin under it, insert it into the vacuum cleaner and start it. A rag and a mop does not replace, as well as specialized models-washers. But it does its job well. Removes small stains. The main thing is not to think about rinsing the napkin after each such cleaning.

Builds a map, stores two. After adding the vacuum cleaner to the app 360 Robot Vacuum Cleaner P7 you will be prompted to transfer the first cleaning with a card entry. We agree, let the vacuum cleaner float freely, and wait for the end of the process. We save the received card in the program. I have no complaints about the result, everything is preserved as it is.

The map can be found. The vacuum cleaner itself determines where the next room begins and ends. They can then be renamed or prevented. In total, storage of two cards is available. Useful for multi-storey buildings or perhaps using the same vacuum cleaner in different places.

Remote control is super convenient. You can start cleaning or control the robot manually, like a children’s car, using the included infrared remote control. I give it to my son, he is happy to carry a vacuum cleaner at home with toys on the lid. There are practical benefits too. It happens that you need to clean the whole apartment or room, but just in one small observer. For example, when they spilled something in the kitchen. Remote in hand, vzhuh, ready.

There is a complete switch. Do not like the independence of smart gadgets? Just press the toggle switch recessed into the body, and the vacuum cleaner turns off completely. That is, it does not work at all, it remains without power. Robo-skeptics evaluate.

Added to Alice. As a result of the Smart Home from Yandex, Botslab P7 is created through account synchronization. Then say, for example:

▪ Turn on the vacuum cleaner
▪ Return the vacuum cleaner to charge
▪ Pause the vacuum cleaner
▪ Turn on the quiet mode on the vacuum cleaner
▪ Start cleaning in one hour

… and so on, there are more than 30 command options. Tested everything, worked flawlessly.

Through Alice in any Yandex application, it is easy to start cleaning when you are not at home. Or, if there is a Station at home, stop and return the vacuum cleaner to the base. For the very fact 360 Robot Vacuum Cleaner P7 from semi-autonomous becomes part of a real smart home, and its capture is taken to a completely different level.

A couple of negatives did not spoil the impression

Sometimes the vacuum cleaner stops and collects. I don’t know what brings him into this state. He can think in 10-30 seconds. The brushes are clean, the container is not clogged yet. Stay like that and move on. Maybe send something to the server? Connects to a person’s grip to help that vacuum cleaner navigate? Planning an escape? I don’t know the answer, it doesn’t create problems, so we’ll write it off as a bug that will be fixed in some firmware update.

Black body – easily soiled. This is already a nitpick, but dust is more visible on black. I hope the white version of this robot will be on sale. In general, not to say that he became very dirty after two weeks of testing. You will just wipe it more often than the same white one.

The app is great. As if it’s not a budget device

The Botslab app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Due to the high initial setting 360 Robot Vacuum Cleaner P7.

In some ways, the program looks like a similar software from Xiaomi or, say, Aqara. All of them now have very similar interfaces, and this is good: if you set it up on any of the devices at least once, you already know how they meet with others.

In the application you can:

▪ evaluation firmware
▪ link the robot with Yandex Smart Home
▪ change the language of the “voice” of the vacuum cleaner (there is Russian!)
▪ last card
▪ is sent to clean a certain area or premises

In addition, cleaning is activated there, restricted areas are configured and modes (suction power) change.

For your money, Botslab P7 is just a monster vacuum cleaner

After 15 days of daily use, I still don’t understand why this duster is so cheap. Seriously, he has a red price of 30-35 thousand rubles.

It seems to me that in the presence of up to 30 thousand there is simply nothing better than Botslab P7 on the Russian market. I compared the assortment of our stores and was convinced of this many times. Excellent equipment, convenient application, map, integration with Alice from Yandex. But that’s not our problem anymore, right?

If I were to buy my first robot vacuum cleaner, or switch from bad models from other manufacturers, I would just took exactly Botslab P7. It’s not just that you don’t overpay – rather, underpay for the device.

You can buy Botslab P7 in DNS for 12,990 rubles.
