Reportedly, UnionPay may be disabled for sanctioned Russian banks. Therefore, it is worth withdrawing cash “in the near future” for financial security.

Bank Saint-Petersburg also warned about this.

“Due to Primorye Bank being placed on the US sanctions list, transactions made abroad with UnionPay cards may be blocked. Primorye Bank, in a statement on its Telegram channel, said that if you are abroad or going abroad, we recommend that you withdraw cash as soon as possible.
