A recent study showed that this method of delivering iPhones from India to Russia increased significantly in the second half of last year: about 165,000 Apple smartphones were imported during this period.
For comparison, a year ago that figure was more than half – the second half of 2021 only showed 70,000 iPhone imports.
Experts also calculated that the total volume of parallel imports of Apple smartphones to Russia in 2022 is three times less than the official shipments in 2021.
It is still not fully understood why the number of iPhones imported from India to Russia has increased so much. A number of experts suggest that this may be due to the increased demand for devices in our country and the lack of supply from China.
