Chameleon is an electrically controlled prism technology. Changes in the refraction of light can be obtained by controlling the position of the material. This creates a wide range of iridescent colors.

Chameleon can be controlled manually using software. It lets you choose from 1600 different colors or set them to change automatically based on battery status, music or notifications. The material can change color in 0.03 seconds. It also has negligible power consumption: Making 100 changes throughout the day requires as much energy as watching a 5-minute video.

Although the new technology has not yet been used in devices, it is highly likely that we will see a Tecno smartphone with Chameleon soon.
