Russia ranked 8th in the world in smartphone sales in 2022. Izvestia writes about this, citing data from GS Group.

Last year, 2.3% of smartphone releases were sold in Russia. In 2021, Russia was on the 6th line with a share of 2.6%.

The leaders in sales are still China (24.1%), India (12.7%) and the USA (11.9%).

The decrease in market share has been the consumption of smartphones in major global brands, primarily Apple and Samsung. Chinese manufacturers have taken their place, but they do not have enough time for this.

In addition, in the second quarter of 2022, consumers will spend. Later, the situation returned to normal.

Parallel imports, price independence and market saturation with Chinese brands are led by the fact that in 2023 Russia ranks 6th, says Alexander Surkov, head of the GS Group think tank. [Известия]
