Judging by them, the IT giant is actively working on two new “smart” devices at once – AR glasses and a ring. They will be called Galaxy Glass and Galaxy Ring, respectively.
Thus, Galaxy Ring is described in the documents as “a smart device that measures health and/or sleep indicators in the form of a ring”. At the same time, Galaxy Glasses are labeled as “virtual reality headset”, “augmented reality headset”, “smart glasses”, “smartphone” and “headset”.
According to experts, the release of new products may occur before the end of 2023. And that makes sense considering that the same Apple should be presenting its own AR/VR glasses at WWDC 2023 in June.
Recall that this is not Samsung’s first attempt at developing a smart ring. In 2015, the company filed a patent for a device that allows users to control their phones and smart home devices via the ring.
