As a result of the changes, the operating frequency of the integrated graphics core has decreased by 200 MHz. This means that the Ryzen 9 7940HS, Ryzen 7 7840HS and Ryzen 5 7640HS run at 2.8, 2.7 and 2.6GHz respectively.

Interestingly, the closest performance Ryzen 7040H remained unchanged. AMD’s flagship processor still boasts an impressive 3 GHz iGPU clock speed.

It is not fully understood why the Ryzen 7040HS processors, moreover, underwent such an unpleasant change in stealth mode.

Note that according to some experts, lowering the iGPU frequency is unlikely to have a significant impact on the performance of the chips. This is explained by the fact that the overall power of the processor is determined by the combination of CPU and GPU performance.
